Mango Accounting
Accountancy Practice
Every business claims to be different. But how often does that difference amount to little more than the same services, delivered in much the same way?
At Mango Accounting, we’ve genuinely challenged ourselves to think differently. Rather than simply asking what accounting services you need, we want to understand what you’re actually trying to achieve.
What are your ambitions? What does success look like to you? And, most importantly, what are your ultimate business and lifestyle goals?
Because we believe accounting should be about much more than processing transactions, preparing accounts and meeting deadlines. It’s about understanding the story behind your numbers, using that knowledge to make better decisions and helping you build the business — and the life — you really want.

The Services They Offer
At Mango Accounting, we offer a range of accountancy, tax and business support services to help individuals and businesses stay on top of their finances. From annual accounts and tax returns to day-to-day bookkeeping and business advice, we take a friendly, proactive approach to understanding your needs and finding the right solutions for you. Whether you’re starting out, growing your business or simply looking for an accountant you can rely on, we’re here to help.
Annual Accounts
Annual accounts provide a financial overview of your business over the course of the financial year. They typically include a profit and loss account and a balance sheet, helping you understand your business’s financial position while meeting relevant reporting requirements. For limited companies, statutory accounts must be prepared and submitted to Companies House, with the appropriate figures also used for tax purposes.
Corporation Tax Returns
Corporation Tax returns report your company’s taxable profits to HMRC and calculate the Corporation Tax due. This involves reviewing income and allowable expenses, applying relevant tax reliefs and adjustments, and submitting the required CT600 return. Accurate and timely filing helps ensure your company meets its tax obligations and avoids unnecessary penalties.
VAT Returns
VAT returns report the VAT your business has charged customers and the VAT it can reclaim on eligible business purchases. The return calculates whether you owe VAT to HMRC or are due a repayment. Preparing and submitting returns accurately and on time helps maintain compliance with VAT regulations and ensures your business manages its VAT obligations effectively.
Self Assessment Tax Returns (SATR)
Self Assessment tax returns allow individuals to report their income and calculate the tax they owe to HMRC. They are commonly required by self-employed individuals, company directors and landlords, as well as those with other sources of untaxed income. A professionally prepared return helps ensure income, allowable expenses and relevant tax reliefs are accounted for correctly, reducing the risk of errors and missed opportunities to save tax.
Bookkeeping
Bookkeeping involves recording and organising your business’s financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses and payments. Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records provides a clear picture of your business’s financial performance and cash flow, while making it easier to prepare accounts, complete tax returns and meet reporting requirements. Regular bookkeeping also helps identify potential financial issues before they become more serious.
Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
The Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) governs how contractors deduct tax from payments made to subcontractors in the construction industry. Services can include verifying subcontractors with HMRC, calculating the correct deductions, submitting monthly CIS returns and providing payment statements. For subcontractors, support may also include reviewing deductions and helping reclaim overpaid tax where applicable.
Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax introduces requirements for eligible self-employed individuals and landlords to maintain digital records and submit income and expense updates to HMRC using compatible software. Rather than relying solely on a traditional annual Self Assessment return, the system involves periodic reporting and an end-of-year process. Support with MTD can help you choose suitable software, maintain accurate records and meet the relevant reporting deadlines.
Company Secretarial Work
Company secretarial services help limited companies meet their statutory and administrative obligations under company law. This can include filing confirmation statements, maintaining statutory registers, recording changes to company directors or shareholders, and preparing relevant company resolutions and documentation. Keeping company records accurate and filings up to date helps maintain compliance with Companies House requirements.
Business Management Consulting
Business management consulting helps businesses improve performance, efficiency and profitability through informed advice and practical recommendations. This may involve reviewing financial performance, analysing costs and cash flow, identifying opportunities for growth, improving operational processes and developing business plans. By using financial data and commercial insight to guide decisions, businesses can build stronger foundations for sustainable growth.
